Act as fast as you can. The sooner you treat the stain, the better the result

Rinse or soak in COLD water. Hot water binds to the proteins and will permanently set the stain in the fabric... Cue reminder to never put them in a dryer!!

Soak overnight if the stain has dried before you get a chance to wash

Treat with store-bought stain remover

Pour lemon juice over the spot and let sit for 5-10 minutes followed by a cold wash cycle

Make a paste using two parts baking soda and one part water to apply to the stain. This home remedy may take between 30 minutes and overnight depending on the severity. Follow by a cold wash cycle
